About the Job

Winchester – Senior Veterinary Surgeon

Up to £85,000 DOE pro rata plus benefits

Lead from the front in Vets Now Winchester

We are looking for a Senior Vet in our Winchester clinic to drive our clinical standards, mentor and coach our team and to ensure that we continue to provide the highest quality of patient and pet care.

Help shape the future of Emergency and Critical Care

As a Senior Vet you will have both clinical and non-clinical responsibilities. In the clinic you will work alongside your Vet team to support their clinical development and evaluate their training needs. Away from clinical work you will have designated management time that can be done remotely to develop retention strategies, work on clinical development opportunities and new ideas to continually improve the clinic.

Enjoy a balanced and sustainable career, that is designed around you

A full-time role in Winchester is based on an average 40-hour week (average of 3 shifts per week – including a fair share of weekends, plus a fair share of bank holidays), and around 5 hours is reserved for non-clinical responsibilities that can be done from home, reducing the hours you will physically be in the clinic.

As with any role within Vets Now we appreciate that one size doesn’t fit all. Finding the right work/life balance for you is our priority, so we could also possibly consider this role on a part-time basis – depending on clinic requirements.

Our Senior Vets are leaders, so you will use your clinical hours to help develop, mentor and support both your existing team, and the new generation of Vet Surgeons joining your clinic. Your clinical shifts will be a range of sole charge work, mentored 1:1 time with your team and double up shifts.

We look after you so you can look after them

At Vets Now we recognise that our people are what makes us. That’s why we are continuing to invest in first class reward and recognition benefits and initiatives.
