Portsmouth – Senior Veterinary Surgeon

Up to £95,000 DOE pro rata plus benefits

9-Month Fixed-Term Contract

We are looking for a Senior Vet in our Portsmouth clinic for a 9-month fixed-term contract, with a possible chance of extension to 12-months – TBC. In this role you will drive our clinical standards, mentor and coach our team, and ensure that we continue to provide the highest quality of patient and pet care.

As a Senior Veterinary Surgeon you will have a variety of responsibilities – for example; working alongside your Vet team to support their clinical development and evaluate their training needs, develop retention strategies, work on clinical development opportunities and consider new ideas to continually improve the clinic.

A full-time role in Portsmouth is based on an average 40-hour week (average of 3 shifts per week) – including a mix of weeknight shifts, weekends days/nights (1:2), plus a fair share of bank holidays. As well as having dedicated time to carry out management duties and attend meetings.

As with any role within Vets Now we appreciate that one size doesn’t fit all. Finding the right work/life balance for you is our priority, so we could also possibly consider this role on a part-time basis – depending on clinic requirements.
