Veterinary Nursing Administration Assistant

The Vets Now Pet Emergency Hospital in Greater Manchester provides both a first-class referral service and an out-of-hours emergency service for veterinary practices in and around Manchester.

Nursing Administration Assistant

In this role you will work collaboratively and contribute to the strong clinical team to deliver high quality clinical and client care across the hospital. You will be responsible for pricing all referral cases, monitoring and processing laboratory results, processing email requests for referral appointments, advice and estimates, and assisting with insurance queries.

In this role you will facilitate the work of the clinical team, therefore maintaining knowledge of all procedures across the hospital service is vital.

This role would be suited to a veterinary nurse who would like to move into a non-clinical role.

Working pattern

30 hours per week. There is flexibility with set working hours however these must include every Monday and Friday.

Plus, a fair share of bank holidays.

Role requirements

  • RCVS Registered Veterinary Nurse.
  • Previous experience of working in a multi-discipline Referral Hospital is desirable.
  • Computer literate with knowledge of MS Office packages and practice management systems.
  • Familiarity with and willingness to comply with RCVS CoPC, particularly CPD and Clinical Governance.
  • Motivated to maintain high clinical standards.
  • Passionate about caring for our clients and their pets.
