Veterinary Nurse – Weekends

We’re excited to announce the opening of a new out-of-hours veterinary clinic in Milford, Norfolk, based at Milford Veterinary Hospital, an RCVS-accredited facility. You’ll work alongside an experienced team of vets and nurses, delivering essential after-hours care to the community. The hospital is fully equipped with advanced tools like bronchoscopes, digital x-ray processors, an on-site lab for quick blood tests, state-of-the-art ultrasound, video endoscopes for minimally invasive procedures, and modern monitoring equipment for intensive care and anaesthesia.

In this role, you would be required to work Saturday from 12:00 to 19:00 and Sunday from 09:00 to 19:00 with the option to do this a minimum of once a month, or more times a month if you desire. Understanding your key role

Our nursing team are at the core of clinical treatment including triage, surgery, anaesthesia, and in-patient care. Key responsibilities will include:

  • First Aid – give appropriate advice over the phone and perform in clinic.
  • Critical Care – management and monitoring of major body systems, monitoring of in-patient trends and identifying changes quickly, physiotherapy, pain assessment, wound and dressing care.
  • Diagnostics – confident to perform basic diagnostic procedures in a sole charge capacity.

Role Requirements

  • RCVS registered for a minimum of six months.
  • Motivated to maintain high clinic standards.
  • Passionate about caring for our clients and their pets.
  • Experience with an ECC caseload is advantageous.
