Now for career progression and a commitment to success
Working at Vets Now Gateshead as a Vet Surgeon, you’ll find a gateway to a wealth of professional qualifications, avenues for progression, as well as dedicated coaching. Our comprehensive CPD package stands unmatched, and we’ll cover VDS and RCVS fees, while we support you in attaining an ECC certificate.
Now for work life balance
Our Senior Vet, Lisa, will guide you through the intricacies of emergency work and you will see private and PDSA cases rarely encountered in general practice. Working an average of 25 hours per week, the six-week rolling will include 1:2 weekends of dayshifts (Saturday 1200-1830 and Sunday 0900-1800), three weekday backshifts (1800-0000) per week and a share of bank holidays. On the odd occasion, there might be a need to cover a full nightshift.
Now for enhanced rewards and benefits
Our comprehensive benefits package encompasses private medical insurance, enhanced sick pay, and an enriched maternity policy, including six months of full pay. We value family-friendly policies, offering paternity and adoption pay schemes, as well as seven weeks of pro rata annual leave. Plus, we celebrate your birthday by granting it as a paid day off.
Now for innovation
Tailored for experienced Veterinary Surgeons, AdvantEdge offers 80 hours of CPD, culminating in an immersive surgical wet lab practical weekend. By blending the programme with our Vet Surgeon role in Gateshead, you’ll not only unlock the skills needed for success but also step confidently into a thrilling ECC career.
