Vets Now Wins Scottish Final of Bank of Scotland £35 million Entrepreneur Challenge
Vets Now is delighted to announce that the organisation has secured up to £5million funding for three years after being announced as the winners of the Scottish regional final of the Sunday Times/Bank of Scotland Entrepreneur Challenge 2008.
The announcement was made at a special dinner and award ceremony which was held at Stirling Castle on Thursday 2 October and attended by all of the five Scottish finalists. The panel of judges saw presentations from all finalists throughout the day; however, Vets Now emerged the winner, fighting off stiff competition from Petrotechnics, Xodus Group, Shore Laminates and John Lawrie and will now go on to compete in the national final which will be held in December.
Vets Now will compete with the winners from the six other regions across the UK for the title of ‘Entrepreneur of the Year' and the chance to be mentored by one of the UK's best known entrepreneurs.
Richard Dixon commented; "We are hugely excited to have won this award. Not only will this enable us to fulfil our current plans for future growth and take the business to a higher level, it will allow us to continue to revolutionise pet care in the UK and provide quality of life for the veterinary profession. This award is testament to the truly passionate and dedicated group of people we have working at Vets Now whom I am extremely proud of. "
