Delegate Information

You may be aware that there was a serious fire at The Majestic Hotel on 5th May 2010.  We have now been informed that the Majestic Hotel full bedroom accommodation is not available due to water damage during the fire.  The hotel will be open again for business shortly but with reduced accommodation from 170 bedrooms to 87 bedrooms.  To help with this issue we have negotiated extra rooms at The Cairn Hotel and which you can book into independantly.

General Congress information:

The Congress is held at The Majestic Hotel, Ripon Road Harrogate, HG1 2HU Tel: 01423700300 www.barcelo-hotels.co.uk.

This is where lectures, activities and meals will be taking place.  Dinner & entertainment will also take place here and we would love you to join us for some fun and dancing.  Communication and Advanced stream lectures will be held across the road at The Cairn Hotel.

 

  • Your lecture registration includes entry to lectures and exhibition, lunch and refreshments
  • You can purchase dinner and entertainment tickets through the on-line booking process
  • Conference registration at the Majestic opens at 12 noon on Wednesday 10th November 2010
  • Registration will then be open from 8am each morning until close of Congress on Friday at 5pm
  • Lectures start at 9.00am on Thursday 11th November and 8.30am on Friday 12th November
  • You should book your own hotel bedroom accommodation independently and information on nearby hotels can be found below.

The Majestic Hotel: The Majestic is now fully booked.   Available bedroom accommodation has been reduced this year by more than half after a fire in the hotel in May.

Majestic HotelBy Road:

From the A1 North - Before reaching the A1(M) leave the A1 following the signposts for Ripon and the A61.

Continue past Ripon and follow the signs for Harrogate.

Approaching the town centre, you will see the Cairn Hotel on the right and turn immediately left onto Springfield Avenue, turning right into the Majestic Hotel car park.

From A1(M) South - Exit at Wetherby onto the A661 following signs for Harrogate town centre.

Once you have passed Harrogate Town Football Club (on right) you will approach a roundabout (junction with A59) turn left, continue until the next roundabout, turning right onto the A61.

Stay on the A61 through the town centre, passing traffic lights and St George Hotel. Springfield Avenue is the next turning on the right, then turn immediately right into the hotel car park.

Please note there is a charge to use the Majestic Hotel car park @ £5 - £7.50/day

By Rail:

Closes station Harrogate Train Station (1 mile), travel via York or Leeds

By Air:

Closest airport Leeds Bradford Airport (12 miles)
