Role Summary
Working in Emergency and Critical Care (ECC) with Vets Now is an interesting, varied and highly rewarding environment, giving you a unique chance to utilise and develop a very broad range of surgical and medical skills.
Working as sole charge Vet, alongside a Receptionist and Veterinary Nurse, this rewarding hands-on role includes all aspects of anaesthesia, surgery and clinical procedures. Due to the nature of ECC medicine, shift caseloads are challenging, but you will be equipped with the facilities, training and support network to handle any case with the highest standards.
Role Requirements
You must be fully qualified and RCVS registered and UK graduates must have successfully completed the RCVS PDP OR have two years experience in small animal practice. Overseas graduates must have two years experience in small animal practice with at least 6 months being within an English speaking environment. You should also be comfortable working sole charge and be confident in your clinical ability.

In Vets Now Northampton you will find a multi-parameter monitor, I stat machine, ultrasound, IDEXX machine, ECG and RDC machine. Not only are there great facilities here, but this friendly and well bonded team will offer you full support in your new position, providing a great working environment and excellent development opportunities for an enthusiastic qualified clinician to work with a varied Out Of Hours Emergency case load.
Working Pattern
This part-time role would involve working 1-2 nights per week as well as a share of weekend days and bank holidays.
Shift times are: Monday to Friday nights from 6pm to 9am, Saturday night 6pm-9am and Sunday night 6pm to 9am), plus a share of weekend day shifts (Saturdays 12noon-6pm, Sundays 9am-6pm) and your share of bank holidays.
