Role Summary
As Senior Veterinary Surgeon, you will take on the management of the Vets Now clinic team, ensuring that your clinic delivers high clinical standards and exceptional levels of customer service. In addition to the management of the Vets Now team you will also be central in development of local relationships with your member practices. You will have responsibility for the financial success of your clinic and along with your Regional Business Manager you will ensure that the clinic meets its full potential and is a successful part of the Vets Now network.
Role Requirements
An ideal candidate will have strong surgical abilities and be very confident working sole charge. You must be fully qualified and RCVS registered and UK graduates must have successfully completed the RCVS PDP or have two years experience in small animal practice. Overseas graduates must have two years experience in small animal practice with at least 6 months being within an English speaking environment.
You should also be comfortable working sole charge and confident in your clinical ability.
You should also be a strong team player with an enthusiasm to develop your management skills and the ability to lead, motivate and develop the team.
Working Pattern:
As a Senior Veterinary Surgeon you would be responsible for managing the rota but a typical full time shift pattern would involve working 3 nights per week along with a share of weekend days and public holidays. Your working hours will be split between clinical work and management duties.
Clinic Description:
Vets Now Maidenhead provides Out Of Hours emergency cover for member practices across the local area. The clinic is based within a purpose built hospital practice which is well equipped and in a lovely part of town. The clinic experiences a varied caseload, typically seeing 10-15 emergency cases on a Sunday dayshift.
